Parents,
I understand that there is a lot of confusion right now about the prom. We have
a prom scheduled for April 6th at Whispering Woods. We have been collecting the
applications for several weeks now. Once students are approved, they are notified
and may pay for the prom ticket or tickets. However, we have less than 30
students who have shown interest in this event.
A group of students and parents have arranged for a separate prom at the
Peabody. This is not affiliated with the school in any way. From what I
understand, they will know by Tuesday if that event will take place.
If SIGNIFICANT interest is shown for our prom but not enough for Whispering
Woods, we will consider looking for a smaller venue for those students. If not,
we will be happy to sell the decorations and supplies we have purchased to any
parent group who would like to organize a separate event.
