Graduation is a Ceremony --Not a Pep Rally

Please make our Graduation a Special Occasion for our Seniors of 2013

Dear Principals,
We've spoken with Matt and Mike at Landers Center regarding this year's graduation ceremonies.
At our request, they have hired extra personnel for security for each graduation ceremony.  As an added measure, the security personnel will be searching each purse and handbag brought through the doors and all Air Horns and Noise-makers will be confiscated.

Also I would like for you to announce at the beginning of each graduation, that security personnel will be watching for any parent or guests that make a loud disturbance during the ceremony and those people will be escorted from the building immediately.

It might be a good idea to read this information to your students over the loud-speaker this morning as well.  If parents and students are aware of the consequences, hopefully they will behave with dignity and respect for others during graduation.

Thank you again for all you have done to make this a successful school year.

MK

Below is what I will read to the Relatives and Friends at Graduation

Relatives and Friends;

Each of these 168 Seniors have worked extremely hard to make it to this point today.  We are about to give each Senior their one brief shining moment.  Please help us make this special for them.  Please do not use any artificial noise makers or you will be have to leave; please do not embarrass your special senior by calling their name out.  Please refrain from loud out bursts so that each and every senior and their loved ones can hear that very special name called. Our Seniors have done an outstanding job in setting wonderful traditions at Center Hill High School.  Please help them to start the tradition today of respecting graduation as a special ceremony and not a PEP RALLY. Thank you for your cooperation in making this a special moment for our Seniors.

Sr. Pictures Information Sr.. Class 2014

Holland Studio came to CHHS today to meet with Juniors about taking Senior Pictures this summer!

All juniors received a handout with the different packages, options for backgrounds, etc.
Below you will find the notes about the information presented:

-The deadline for students to have pictures made in order to be in the yearbook and on the composite will be September 1st.
-We recommend that all students take their pictures this summer!
-Beginning June 1st, Holland will have extended hours and be open for 13 hours daily - to accommodate around work schedules, etc.
-The "Basic" is the minimum you must do to be in the yearbook and on the composite.
-The CHHS yearbook publishes a formal (tux/drape) picture and a casual picture of each senior! So, ideally, you will want to have a casual made in addition to your formal picture.
-Proofs will be ready 1 hour after you finish taking pictures.
-You are not required to purchase pictures.

-It is ideal to have your pictures made with a friend - it helps the student feel more comfortable, etc. And, this way you have someone to help you with changing, etc.
-When you call to make an appointment, you can schedule it for you and a friend. This also helps you have a little more time.

MONEY
-The minimum or the "Basic" is 29.95
-The day you take your pictures, you are required to pay the entire sitting fee.
-If you want to take your proofs home, you pay $100 - this goes towards the purchase of any pictures you select
-When you place an order for pictures, you are required to pay 1/2 of the total.
-When you pick up your pictures, you are required to pay the balance.

To make an appointment - Call Holland - 901.362.1818

COUPON
On the back of the flier that your student got today, there is a coupon for a free sitting fee if pictures are taken during June. So, if you get your pictures taken in June, all the pictures you'll need for the yearbook will cost $29.95.
For a copy of the brochure or to see the slide show presentation that the students say, you can go to their website: www.hollandstudio.net

Students should remember that clothing should be tasteful in order for pictures to be used in the yearbook.
Good Luck!! It's almost SENIOR YEAR!

* Extra brochures are available in the guidance office if you need another or were absent.
